  • What is the current status of Coronavirus in Kleinwalsertal?

    THE KLEINWALSERTAL  IS NOT A HIGH RISK AREA(EXEMPTION BY THE ROBERT-KOCH-INSTITUTE FROM 14.01.2022).
    furthermore, the kleinwalsertal is exempted from the austrian entry regulation.

    The most important rules at a glance

    In gastronomy and accommodation, at the mountain railroads, for ski lessons as well as in trade (except stores for daily needs) the 2G-rule (vaccinated or recovered) applies. You can find all information about the access certificates here.

    There is an exception to the 2G rule for unvaccinated or not yet fully vaccinated school age children (from 12 to 15 years) from Germany and abroad: Holiday Ninja Pass (german language only)

    Children under 12 years of age do not need any proof

    There is an FFP2 mask requirement (FFP2 from 14 years, MNS from 6 years) indoors & outdoors (if a distance of 2 m cannot be maintained).

    Guests from the Netherlands: Kleinwalsertal is exempt from the Austrian entry regulations, it is still possible to travel from the Netherlands (without quarantine)

     

    What should be considered when traveling to Kleinwalsertal?

    Kleinwalsertal is exempt from the Austrian entry regulations. Therefore, there are no registration (pre-travel clearance) or testing obligations for the getting to Kleinwalsertal (also not for children under 12 years).

    For the check-in in the hotel, in a vacation apartment or camping site you always need a proof (recovered or vaccinated).

    What applies on the return journey to Germany?

    Kleinwalsertal is a non-risk area for Germany.  This means that when you  return to Germany, the general obligation to provide evidence applies to all persons over the age of 6 years:

    - A current Corona-Test (PCR or Antigen).  In the case of Antigen Tests, the test must not be older than 48 hours, in the case of PCR-Tests, 72 hours.

    - Proof of complete vaccination or proof of recovery.

    - Children who have not yet reached the age of 6 (up to their 6th birthday) are exempt from the test obligation.


    What applies to the return to Switzerland?

    Stricter entry regulations have been in force for entry into Switzerland since December 20, 2021: Vaccinated and convalescent people must also present a negative PCR test or rapid antigen test and fill out the digital entry form before entering Switzerland.

    Return journey from Kleinwalsertal / Vorarlberg to Switzerland: People who travel through Switzerland without stopping, cross-border commuters and people who come from border areas, including all of Vorarlberg, are exempt from the test and form requirement.
     

    What applies for guests from the Netherlands ?

    Guests from the Netherlands must check the validity of their 2G certificate in time for their vacation in Kleinwalsertal: Janssen vaccinations (Johnson&Johnson) are only valid from 3rd January if a second vaccination has been given.     The Kleinwalsertal is exempt from the Austrian entry regulations. This means that despite the classification of the Netherlands as a virus variant area, guests from the Netherlands can still travel to Kleinwalsertal (without quarantine). A prerequisite is a valid access certificate for hotels, restaurants, mountain railways etc. in Austria. All information on the validity of G proofs can be found here.

    Austria is currently listed as a "high risk area" by the Netherlands, for the return journey to the Netherlands this means that everyone 12 years and older needs a valid 3G proof.

  • What do the current cancellation terms look like?

    CANCELLATION CONDITIONS IN WINTER 2021 / 22

    Cancellation conditions for all winter bookings with arrival  to 31 january 2022:

    The current cancellation conditions apply to all new and existing bookings. Cancellations can be made without formalities, but must be notified in writing.

    Cancellations up to 7 days before arrival are free of charge, only a handling fee of € 40,- per room will be charged. No processing fee will be charged for a rebooking to a later date.

    In the last 6 days or in case of no-show we charge 90 % of the travel price.

    In case of late arrival or early departure we charge 80 % of the travel price.

    Otherwise the general terms and conditions of the Austrian Hotel Contract Conditions (ÖHVB) apply.

    In case of late arrival or early departure we charge 80 % of the travel price.

    Otherwise the general terms and conditions of the Austrian Hotel Contract Conditions (ÖHVB) apply.

    Travel warning with quarantine obligation

    If there is a travel warning with quarantine obligation for your region of origin or Kleinwalsertal, a rebooking to a later date is possible up to 14 days before arrival. In the event of cancellation, an amount equal to the required deposit will be due.

    If a travel warning with quarantine obligation is issued shortly before departure, you can rebook for a later date free of charge. In the event of cancellation, only the amount of the required deposit will be due.

     

    We recommend that you always take out additional travel cancellation insurance so that you are well protected all round. Take precautions for yourself and your loved ones to avoid costs and hassle. You can take out the insurance directly with us when booking.

    Should you wish to take out trip cancellation insurance, we recommend the Europäische Reiseversicherung.

    - The Europäische Reiseversicherung offers coverage for Covid-19: 
    - In case the guest contracts COVID-19.
    - In case a close family member or another person living in the same household contracts COVID-19 and the presence of the guest at home is urgently required.
    - In case of fever and the suspicion of Corona, even if the test result comes back negative later.
    - In case of a positive test result without any symptoms.
    - In case a close family member in the same household contracts the disease and the guest must quarantine.

    Arrival between 1:00 pm and 9:00 pm, check-in any time after 3:00 pm. Check-out time on the day of departure is 10:00 am at the latest. Thank you!
    If you plan on arriving later than 6:00 pm, we ask you kindly to guarantee your reservation, which will ensure that your room is available for you in any case.

  • Cancelling?

    In case of cancellations, we charge the following: You do not have to complete a special form for cancellations but they must be made in writing only. Said cancellation must subsequently be confirmed by the hotel as well. It is recommended you take out trip cancellation insurance - it will protect you from cancellation fees!

    Up to 2 months before arrival: No cancellation fees. You only have to pay a handling fee of € 40.00 per room.

    Up to 1 month before arrival: 30% of the total trip price

    Up to 15 days before arrival: 70% of the total trip price

    Up to 1 day before arrival: 80% of the total trip price

    In case of delayed arrival or early departure: 80% of the total trip price

    In case of no-show: 100% of the trip arrangement price

    Otherwise, the General Terms and Conditions of the Austrian Hotel Contract Conditions (ÖHVB) shall apply.

    As of 12/01/2020, the guest tax for guests over the age of 14 comes to € 3.70 per person and per night.

  • Miscellaneous?

    Double bed instead of single bed available upon request.

    The restaurant is closed on Mondays and dinner is served at 6:00 pm.

    The hotel features two separate buildings (the main building and the chalet) that are not connected. It just takes a few steps across the parking lot to get from the main building to the chalet (annex building).

  • Trip Cancellation Insurance?

    Sometimes things turn out differently and the booked vacation must be canceled or prematurely broken off. We want to spare you the associated costs and anger. Therefore we recommend taking out a hotel cancellation insurance from Europäische Reiseversicherung (including Covid coverage free of charge).
