Fun winter sport in Mittelberg
Winter - entirely different...
Natural toboggan run
Toboggan fun for old and young in the Kleinwalsertal on eight specially prepared toboggan runs all with different lengths and different grades. Toboggans and sledges can be rented at the sport shops or rental stations.
Alpine Coaster
The all-weather toboggan run, the "Söllereck Rodel", provides even more family fun and action. This thrilling ride takes you over an 850 km long route with winding bends, built-in jumps and waves, over a 4,5 km high bridge followed by a steep roundabout. The 2-seater toboggans reach a speed of up to 40 km/h and the ride is full of thrills.
Winter Walking
A 50 km long network of walking paths in the Kleinwalsertal offers plenty of space for relaxing and regenerating winter walks. Most of the paths are in the valley and along the side valleys up to 1400 m high. If you want to go higher then we recommend the tours in the Schwarzwasser valley (1620 m), to Söllereck (1358 m) and the circuit walk to the Gottesacker at 2000 m high.
Snow shoe walking
With snow shoes firmly fixed on your feet you can walk and hike through deep powder snow. With a steady pace there's plenty of time to take in the breathtaking natural landscape in the Kleinwalsertal - accompanied only by a peaceful silence. Experienced guides and mountain guides who are familiar with the snow conditions and the terrain can show you where to go.
Horse drawn sleigh rides
Discover the diversity of the landscape and its charm on a horse drawn sleigh ride. Cuddle up together and take in the magical winter landscape passing by. For those looking for more action a dog-sled ride is definitely just the right thing.
